The Why?

Tweens spent an average of 4½ hours per day with screen media and 6 hours with all media, including reading and listening to music. (CNN) The media content they consume and create profoundly impacts their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Learning how to use media and technology wisely is an essential skill for life and learning in the 21st Century. Parents, teachers and policymakers struggle to keep up with the rapidly changing digital world in which our children live and learn. Now, more than ever, children and youth need a trusted guide to help them navigate a world where change is the only constant.

The Process
Media and technology are at the very center of our lives today, especially our children. We are dedicated to helping kids thrive in a world of media and technology. We provide unbiased information, trusted advice, and innovative tools to help them harness the power of media and technology as a positive force in their lives.
Our strategy is comprehensive: We cover the 4 stages of Film Production: Pre Production (Writing/Planning, Financing), Production (Performing/Shooting), Post Production (Editing), and Distribution

The Solution
Achieving a healthy approach to media and technology can make a big difference in kids’ lives today. Kids who learn to use digital media wisely can accomplish amazing things—learn new skills, explore new worlds, build new ideas, and change the world. Yet every kid has different needs.
UNITY provides high-quality digital literacy and citizenship programs to schools and communities. Together, we work to empower students to harness technology for learning and life.
