About Us
Started in 2014, we welcome all those looking to inspire positive change and growth in children and young adults through Film, Finance & Creative Innovation. Our non profit family has a variety of multi-talented, ambitious, determined and skilled minds that help us achieve our mission.
Our Board of Directors and UNITY staff are highly educated and have a track record of years of community building. One of our most effective strategies is to engage college students to mentor program participants, bridging the gaps in resources and access and connecting our neighborhoods with local institutions, including colleges, non profits and entertainment industry-related businesses.
We keep our program relevant and fresh in current times. And, we keep them robust through current partnerships with the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena, Blair High School, United Way of Los Angeles, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, and many more to come.
We believe all children can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
Our Mission
To empower youth and advance their prospects for education and employment through lessons and practice in film production, finance management and creative innovation.
Our Vision
To inspire and motivate youth, ages 8-18, to become effective communicators, storyteller and employees of socially responsible companies and programs. Our aim is to reach at least 1000 children per year from Southern California’s underserved communities. Our work will be achieve primarily through partnerships with existing programs that can use, integrate and offer our programing to enhance the range and effectiveness of their own program offerings.
